Meet Jimmy Courbron, Co-Owner and Senior Professional Land Surveyor of SurveyWorks, Inc. After leaving SWI in 2013 to practice land surveying, engineering & project management under the direction of the veteran professionals of Stamski & McNary, Inc. in Acton, Massachusetts, and, more recently, Sebago Technics, Inc. in Portland, Maine, Jimmy has returned to the family business as Co-Owner and Senior Professional Land Surveyor. Jimmy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering Technology from the University of Maine in 2009, and now holds professional registrations in multiple states with over ten years of experience. Along with his experience, Jimmy brings a broader perspective on the development industry and new ideas to help our clients accomplish their land planning goals.
Meet Devon Hurley, Surveying Technician, SurveyWorks, Inc. Devon graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering Technology in August 2018 and is currently a Licensed Surveyor in Training in the State of Maine. He has worked for SWI since the summer of 2016 and has been full-time since May 2018. In his time with SWI, Devon has worked as survey crew chief, project manager, field technician, and lead drafting technician on a wide variety of surveying projects including, but not limited to, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, elevation certificates, building stakeouts, GIS worksheets, septic designs, and mortgage loan inspections. Devon is an active member of the Maine Society of Land Surveyors and the Maine Young Surveyors group and continuously seeks to further the professional development of himself and other members.
